If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you! You're invited to participate in the 2024 IEC Young Professionals Workshop, happening alongside the IEC General Meeting in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, from October 21st to 25th, 2024.?

TOPIC: “The transport industry in South Africa accounts for 11% of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions, ranking it as the 3rd largest source. One of the ways to reduce the carbon footprint is to promote electromobility with renewable energy charging infrastructure. How can standardisation and certification increase adoption of electromobility in South Africa? Electromobility includes battery electric vehicles, fuel cell electric vehicles, ebikes, escooter etc."

?? The transport sector in South Africa contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions, with electromobility emerging as a pivotal solution. We're seeking insights on how standardization and certification can accelerate the adoption of electromobility, encompassing battery electric vehicles, fuel cell electric vehicles, ebikes, escooters, and more.?

?? GUIDELINES:?

1. Essays should be approximately 3500 words (5-6 pages), typed in Arial 11-point font.?

1. Originality is key; ensure your submission is unpublished and free of plagiarism.?

1. Entries must be solely authored by the participant.?

1. By submitting your essay, you agree to assign copyright to the South African Bureau of Standards.?

This competition is only open to South Africans citizens aged between 20 – 35 2. All essay entries must be submitted to [email protected] no later than 30 June 2024 ?
