IDMA 58th Annual Celebration in Mumbai
Pharma Ratna News: New Delhi, On Jan 18th, 2020 organized annual general meeting in Regis Hotel, Mumbai, which focussed on opportunities and challenges of Indian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers followed by appointment of new national president and informing stakeholders about future national president. This celebration was strictly on invitation and approximately 100 people were in attendance. During the conference, attendees shared opinions, thoughts and suggestions for consideration for upcoming 59th IDMA meet.
IDMA Secretary General, Daara B.Patel, Chairman IDMA for Gujarat, Viranchi Shah, Director BlissGVS, S.R.Vaidya were on hand to open the conference.Chief Guest honoured the manufacturers and pharmacy students across India for their valuable contribution.
Present on the occasion were Incoming IDMA President Mahesh Doshi, IDMA Past President S V Veerramani, Joint Health Secretary Dr Mandeep K Bhandari, Drugs Controller General of India, Dr.V.G.Somani, Joint Drugs Controllers Dr S Eswara Reddy and Dr K Bangarurajan, Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials among other dignitaries, President Rab Di Meher, Mohammad Shahbaz Alam, Vice President RDM, Advocate Anita Shahbaz and Chairman IPIZ Kyrgyzstan, Dr.Animesh Baruah.
The key note speakers spoke about varieties of issues impacting pharmaceutical fraternity as well as national level initiative designed to address these issues. IDMA recommended that all pharma products priced at less than Rs. 5 per unit be kept out of price control. Also all price revisions be made prospective from next batch only which would ensure timely compliance from industry and trade.
