The Identity within the IDEA

We just celebrated our three-year anniversary on April 1, 2021 and I can’t help but think about the IDEA that KVLmedia Studio was founded on - one of service. That base rolled into ONE BIG IDEA that helps helps them grow their company into solid business through building a sound foundation for their brand.
IDEA Blueprints?
Well, what is IDEA Blueprints??
I developed IDEA Blueprints because I noticed a gap in the education of small business owners and organizations that hindered the growth from hobby to full-fledged business. As KVLmedia’s signature four-step process, it takes an idea to a profitable business!
The four parts are:
- I = Identity
- D = Distribution
- E = Engagement
- A = Acquisition
In this newsletter, we will cover Identity.
I remember one of our first clients in our new studio, local business owner, Jasira Monique of Woman on the Move (“WoM”). We developed her logo and color schemes.
This is where most people stop when it comes to branding, but it’s so much more!
Then, we started the deep dive into the WoM identity. We looked at her vision to really understand the brand. That helped us create an avatar - the visual representation of her potential customer.
The avatar included the basic demographics, like age, race, gender of the people she served, which are professional women between the ages of 18-40 who want to collaborate and grow worldwide. From there, we outlined the purpose of WoM, the products and services offered, and the other needs of her demographic.
When we looked at the products and services, we did not limit the thought process to the features of the product, we had to list out the benefits. Features are nice, but benefits are what sways the hearts of your customer. Benefits are what make the customer’s life easier, do things faster, and make them prettier. Customers aren’t driven to purchase because of what it does, but how it makes them feel.
Understanding your avatar can make the difference between your business thriving and questioning whether you should continue.
Since our first client, we’ve served 100s of other clients including Community Partners, BeWellPBC, Mittleman Eye and many, many more!
As I help others with their own identity, we’re also branching out into another endeavor building a food brand called Dirty30 Wings! Follow us online!
So, is your avatar a 40-year-old woman with two kids that lives in Arkansas? Or is it a 15-year-old boy that lives in South Florida that only plays video games?
