Accenture Makes a Strategic Investment in Reality Defender
Accenture, through Accenture Ventures, has made a strategic investment in Reality Defender, a cybersecurity company that specializes in deepfake detection. Together, Accenture and Reality Defender will collaborate to equip clients in the financial services, high-tech, and media industries with the resources required to identify, detect, respond to, and prevent deepfake fraud. Additionally, Accenture plans to integrate Reality Defender's capabilities into its existing deepfake detection and protection solutions, alongside extending it to its call center AI automation offering.
AuthenticID Releases an Identity Verification Platform
AuthenticID, a global provider of identity verification and fraud prevention solutions, has released AuthenticID360, a new holistic identity verification platform. The new platform aims to deliver robust verification and risk signaling capabilities to clients, including a two-second response time for identity transactions. Those capabilities include an automated decision engine, KYC and KYB data validations, orchestration tools for building decisioning workflows, and a collection of fraud protection features, including liveness detection, face matching, deep-fake injection attack sections, bad actor watchlist, and proprietary anti-fraud algorithms.
Keeper Security Introduces Several Updates to its Browser Extension
Keeper Security, a zero-trust and zero-knowledge cybersecurity provider, has introduced several updates to its KeeperFill browser extension. The update will allow users to customize the viewing experience with landscape, a new option that expands the view of the extension window. Other additions include a customizable passphrase generation, a refreshed user interface for the traditional password generator, and the ability to access the tool's web vault from the browser extension with a new shortcut.
OLOID Receives $6 Million in a Series AI Funding Round
OLOID, a provider of workplace technology for access and identity management, has received $6 million in a Series AI funding round. The funding was led by Yaletown Partners, Exposition Ventures, George Kaiser Family Foundation, and Carya Ventures, with participation from existing investors. The company also announced that it has become a Workday Innovation Partner and achieved Workday Certified Integration status, which will enable OLOID to provide customers with a streamlined integration between Workday's solutions and OLOID's Time Clock tool.
Permiso Security Launches an Open-Source Tool for Combating Policy Obfuscation
Permiso Security, an identity threat detection and response startup, has released an open-source tool designed to obfuscate, deobfuscate, and detect obfuscated JSON documents. The tool, SkyScalpel, also includes an emphasis on IAM policies to control permissions in AWS cloud environments. With SkyScalpel, companies can introduce, identity, or resolve single-element action arrays, Unicode encoding, reorder properties, action wildcards, random casing, insignificant whitespace, and others. SkyScalpel is available now on GitHub.
Qpoints Raises $4 Million in a Pre-Seed Funding Round
Qpoint has closed $4 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Mango Capital with participation from Preface Ventures, Scribble Ventures, and Bloomberg Beta. Qpoint leverages eBPF technology to equip platform teams and operators with deeper visibility and control over their applications' external dependencies and traffic flows. The company has founding members from Shopify, DigitalOcean, Instacard, NS1, and Hashicorp. The team has a history of successfully building software and scaling operations for global technology companies.
SailPoint Reveals a New Machine Identity Security Solution
SailPoint, a unified identity security provider for enterprises, has launched SailPoint Machine Identity Security, a new product built specifically for machine accounts. Machine Identity Security is built on SailPoint Atlas and aims to unify the process of identity security for machine and human identities, making it easier for companies to manage all identities. Additionally, the SailPoint Machine Identity Security solution can automate the governance and lifecycle management processes to help businesses approach the compliance process with more confidence.

SailPoint Announces Updated Capabilities for its Identity Security Cloud
SailPoint also announced several new and updated capabilities for its Identity Security Cloud. The updates include three new capabilities, including access model metadata, dynamic access roles, and data segmentation, which aim to enhance its existing application onboarding capability.
