Ideas for Using Vine for Your Business

It can get tiring trying out all the different marketing platforms, and just when you think you’ve grabbed a hold of the channels you do use, another one comes along. Vine is one such example. It was launched after many other social media channels and its full potential hasn’t been realized by all marketers. What makes this video-sharing app different from other platforms is that users film short videos of about 6.5 seconds, which can then be linked together for storytelling purposes.
Video content marketing is surging in popularity, and it’s estimated that 74 percent of online traffic will be video in 2017. With this mind, more businesses are branching out to creating short videos of their own that are informational, instructional or just plain fun to watch. As you experiment with different platforms, you may be wondering whether Vine has any value to you.
Not every channel is right for every business, so you have to find what works for your audience. But, you will appreciate that you don’t need any type of editing experience to put something together on Vine. Posting to social media is super easy, too. And since the videos are under 7 seconds, you can get your feet wet in making short videos before you go on to longer ones.
Here are some ideas of how you can use Vine for your business.
Show Happy Customers
With just a few seconds on the screen, most customers won’t mind being in a video shoot. Show happy customers using your product, enjoying your service or holding up signs with hashtags or words that define your business.
Tease a New Product
If you have a new product launching, why not give your customers a little tease as to what to expect? A close-up of the product, hints about what it will be or the delight on people’s faces are all ways that you can hold viewers’ attention. Provide a link where viewers can get more information.
Share Your Work
If your industry involves hands-on work that can be showcased in a portfolio, show off this experience using a Vine video. Six seconds may not sound like a lot of time, but you can squeeze in a lot of examples of your work to show the scope of what you do.
Give a Glimpse of Your Culture
Every brand should have a culture, and there’s no better way to show it than through video content. When people see other humans interacting, laughing and having fun, it gives them a positive feeling about the company. Think of ways you can show your audience the type of culture you have. Snippets from social gatherings is a great, easy method.
Befores and Afters
If your business provides a service or product that improves something in some way, ask for before and after examples from your customers. This is a great way to show how well your product works, what it can do for others and the satisfaction it’s brought to other people.
