Ideas to try while Quarantining: COVID-19

As the COVID-19 virus pandemic began to sweep across the world, we all experienced a very different way of living: QUARANTINING AT HOME.
And I could see myself feeling restless as I can't go to the cafe anymore and sip a coffee that was part of my routine.
I can't move to the city I am supposed to move and feel equipped. My plans came to standstill. My outdoorsy streak is struggling to stay indoors and therefore emotions breaking out in form of irritation, anger or even restlessness only hoping that situation becomes better and my transition to a new life (been a month that I got married now), new city, new opportunities may start. And something that is keeping me sane is doing little things I love. That is what HAPPINESS is.
- I resumed my morning workout routine.
- I spend time talking /connecting with friends and family.
- I cook with my better half.
- I spend 10 minutes in evening with self (ritual since grade 9).
And I am enjoying it as much as I am not liking the idea of not being outdoors.
There are copious ideas that you may try and keep yourself centered.
- Write a gratitude note (my favourite!)
- Spend time watering the plants/ gardening.
- Organise your cupboard and desk (if married then maybe your makeup too).
- Bake your favourite dessert with the limited resources you have in stock.
- Spend your weekends in cleaning and dusting, it is a great therapy.
- Make DIY jewellery.
- Run and exercise whenever you can (morning/evening).
- Watch your favourite movie at home with your family.
- Listen to your favourite music.
- Meditate.
- Sip coffee/tea with your in-laws.
- Play indoor games on weekends with your family/roommate.
