Life becomes exciting when we get a new idea. It immediately changes our thinking pattern and makes us imagine ways & means to convert the idea to reality.
Same is true for Business. Businesses are, for all practical purposes, a hotbed of ideas. Innovative Companies have, therefore, distinctly changed the world that we live in.
These are exciting times for India, especially in 2021, when Innovation has got a shot in the arm by the Govt. of India.
The Idea Factory is a Strategy Training & Consulting Start-up, that offers Innovative Ideas & Strategic Solutions to Organizations, thereby enabling their exponential growth.
Starting 2020, The Idea Factory, in association with Executive Leadership Coach – Mr. Kaushik Chatterjee, has been actively engaging with Corporates (incl. MSME’s & Startups), and assisting them in bringing greater focus to innovation, and their successful implementation
In recent months, we have successfully conducted several Panel Discussions, titled ‘The Power of Ideas to Propel Business Growth’, that brought interesting ideas to the fore.
Some of the ideas are summarized below.
· While Companies are quite innovative to succeed in the market, there is , indeed, a lot of opportunities for continuous ideation
· Companies are mostly reactive to the needs of the market; Seldom proactive thoughts find their way into the market
· The accelerated leap of the Digital Model during the pandemic, has bridged the gap between large organizations and tech. driven Startups.
· There are great opportunities to build Innovation Frameworks, that work on a continuous supply of ideas from (within & outside) the Companies
· These are exciting times for Startups & MSME’s to Experiment with new Products & Services in the market.
Our Panelists included Senior Personnel from reputed MNC’s like Volvo Eicher, Vodafone India, Nestle, Voltas Beko and smaller organizations like Pudge Technologies, SterlingCheck, as well as Startup Incubators like Startup Chaupal.
Starting 2021, Indian Businesses are still grappling with the post Pandemic recovery cycle, and looking for smarter ways to win the hearts of their Customers (all over again).
Towards that, we realized the need to DELVE DEEPER into the Innovation Cycle, and evolve interesting Ideas for Businesses in India.
After some thoughts, the concept of ‘THE IDEAS LAB’ is born
Here are some highlights of the Proposed Program
1. THE PROGRAM
‘THE IDEAS LAB’ is, a unique service of The Idea Factory, where we interact with a Participant and build a 3-5 IDEAS LIST in a short span of time.
The time duration of the Program can vary from 45 mins to 6 hrs, depending upon the Customized Requirements of the Customer.
2. THE FRAMEWORK
The Program follows a simplified version of the reputed INVENTION CYCLE, as per Teena Seelig Framework.
IMAGINATION – CREATIVITY – INNOVATION - ENTREPRENEURSHIP
3. THE APPROACH
The Program follows the following 5 Step Approach
Pre Read
· An Initial Analysis of the Public Information of the Company (Website, Market Information, Industry Trends, Corporate Presentation, Product Information etc.)
5 Steps
1. An intensive interaction with a Participant (preferably a CXO of a Company) to discuss the immediate challenges/pain points of the Company, at large.
2. Identification of 1-2 Problems to be addressed in the session
3. A Freewheeling Ideation to evolve new solutions for the Problem(s) shortlisted
4. An agreement on the Shortlisted Ideas
5. Mapping of the Shortlisted Ideas in the Tina Seelig Framework
4. THE FINAL OUTCOME
As already mentioned above, the Final Outcome of the Program is to build a list of 3-5 -IDEAS, in a short span of time.
Time Duration:
Module 1 - 45 mins (Discovery Session)
Module 2 - 3- 6 Hrs ( Customized Program)
The 3-5 IDEAS List should be taken forward, for successful implementation
