Juie Sabnis with her family

An architecture graduate from the University of Mumbai, Juie moved to the USA soon after her course and started working in her chosen field. She became a mother to two lovely boys but found it hard to dedicate enough time to the family, given her kids were still young. She and her family decided to move back to India permanently in 2013, which was especially challenging for her two boys.

What sparked the shift from being an architect to a career in Technology??

Juie got her Administrator Certification in Feb 2022

I spent months contemplating whether to continue in architecture or look for alternate career options. This is when I came across Prodapt's Salesforce Practice and identified that it offered a wider range of career opportunities, a more stable job even if I wished to move back to the USA, the possibility of remote work too, and above all, adequate remuneration. ?

Juie with Smita Katariya, Global Head, Salesforce Practice at Prodapt

This was the biggest leap in my career path. When I was still confused, I got to speak to Smita Katariya, Global Head of Prodapt's Salesforce Practice. And after that I got clarity. It took me a few weeks to work up the courage to start studying and embrace an altogether new career.

What were some of your concerns and fears about the shift? And how did Prodapt's Salesforce team address these concerns and fears? ?

Not achieving my full potential was one of my biggest fears. I am a creative person with ideas, aspirations, and skills, but I was still worried that I would fail to utilize my skills to achieve my professional goals or that I wouldn’t have the competency to fulfill the responsibilities of my new role. ?

I was introduced to Salesforce in a whole new way after joining Prodapt. But I liked getting through the assignments because it appealed to my sense of order and my co-workers seemed genuinely grateful and helped me in what I was doing. ??

Now I have been with Prodapt for more than a year, and I can confidently say that I have found it to be a very fulfilling journey in many ways. I am glad to have ventured into something completely different. ?

I have found what I’m truly passionate about, and do fulfilling, exciting work every day!

Dinner with Prodapt's Salesforce Practice team

I would say that if you really want a new career, then you should consider Salesforce. It truly doesn’t matter where you come from. I’ve met Salesforce Admins who work full-time at home with babies, or part-time, and others who travel exclusively. Admins who only work remotely, and admins who work the traditional 9-5 in an office. And they come from the most bizarre assortment of jobs possible. Some of them stumble into Salesforce by accident, and some dive in, but they all have one thing in common: the passion and drive to never stop learning. It doesn’t matter where you are right now. There’s a whole new universe right at your fingertips, all you have to do is take the leap!

What certifications did you need to become Salesforce-compliant?

Basically, to start with you need to have Salesforce Admin Certification. That is a must. And then it opens a lot of opportunities depending on your interest.

What do you like the most about the work culture at Prodapt's Salesforce Practice?

When you’re making the transition, you really want a place where you can learn from other talented people. In every team that I have worked with within Prodapt's Salesforce Practice, I’ve learned something new. Everyone is willing to spend time and mentor the newcomer. Even though almost everyone knew that I was coming from a different background, they helped me merge into the team, giving me the same work opportunities. A company like Prodapt is a fantastic place for being around talented people who are doing innovative work at a very rapid pace. ?
