In conversation with Nishant Singh,? Co-founder of Lorrigo wherein he talks about the birth of Lorrigo and his vision for the company. The success our company has achieved in the span of 2 years is visible on his face as he glows with enthusiasm while talking about his most ‘invaluable possession’. Q1. Can you tell me about your story before Lorrigo??
By education, I am a B.Tech Computer Science graduate. My journey into the world of logistics was shaped by the deep-rooted connection I had with the industry, courtesy of my father's transportation business. Assisting him from an early age provided me with invaluable firsthand insight into the various challenges and dynamics of the trade. These experiences served as the cornerstone, laying the foundation for what would become Lorrigo.
Q2. How did the birth of this idea took place??
It all began with a profound understanding of the challenges my father faced in his transportation business. Recognizing the inherent chaos within the industry, I saw an opportunity to introduce digital solutions that could revolutionize the way logistics operated. Thus, I & my friends from college embarked on a journey to establish a trucking business aimed at aggregating transportation associations to facilitate truck bookings. However, with the onset of COVID-19, we observed a surge in online D2C deliveries and pivoted our focus accordingly. Recognizing the opportunity, we shifted entirely to D2C deliveries while concurrently expanding our trucking logistics operations and venturing into international shipping
.Q3. How did founders meet each other and more about their bonding story.?
Lorrigo boasts a team of four founders, myself included. We met during our college years and have been friends for over a decade. Each of us brings a different set of skills and experiences to the table. While I handle finances and vendor relationships, my co-founders oversee business strategy, post-sale experience, and technology development, respectively. Together, we make an imposing team driving Lorrigo forward.

Q4. How does it feel to follow your passion?
Logistics forms the backbone of any nation's economy, and we're proud to contribute to its efficiency. As India embraces digitalization, we see a wealth of entrepreneurial opportunities emerging, with innovative products poised to become household essentials. Recognizing the immense potential in tier 2, 3, and 4 cities, we aim to empower local businesses by providing them with nationwide accessibility.
We believe that by focusing on these underserved segments, we can unlock tremendous growth potential and provide much-needed pricing transparency and quality services.
