ICT Proposers' Day 2019 - Helsinki
This year ICT Proposer's Day organised at Helsinki, Finland's southern capital, sits on a peninsula in the Gulf of Finland. The event happened for 2 days during 19-20 September 2019 and team of DigitalTwin Technology was there. Although, I must say the event this year was smaller than the last year in Vienna, Austria.
The first day started with Keynote talks by Khalil ROUHANA (European Commission, DG CONNECT, Belgium) and Jari PARTANEN (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland).
Very well said by Khalil Rouhana -
Our investment in research and innovation, is a key part of our policy instruments in order to achieve a successful digital transformation.
The commitment of investment by European Union on Digital Europe Programme can be seen in the below image. Huge step towards digitising the industries within Europe.
The complete first day talks and presentations can be seen here :-
Other than talks and meeting with people it was really interesting to visit the exhibition area of Finnish Village. One very interesting booth was about Future of Factories. The application was on virtual reality - digital twin of the factory.
In the evening we all been to the social event at Helsinki City Hall to enjoy the networking time and some good food and drinks.
Our second day started with presenting project idea of Real-time BIM with digital twin - for digitising construction industry in order to maintain sustainable construction. The link of presentation is here.
Our second presentation was on improving the education system - "Beyond VR for Education". The Co-Founder Dr. Holger Sprengel also presented Nurogames/Nuromedia GmbH - "Challenges in New Interactive Technologies".
