"Ich bin ein Berliner" - Connection Request

Hi network, could you help me try to make a connection by liking this post?

I came across these photos whilst clearing out our cellar in preparation for our move back to the UK.??I met the guy in the photo above briefly 33 years ago. So briefly in fact that I didn’t get the chance to ask him his name.?He had (pretty courageously in my mind) spent 20 mins shinned up a post unbolting this border sign -- putting to shame my brief one min chisel and grab raid to collect a piece of the wall.

Easy to rationalize nowdays that the 2 Germanys would reunify peacefully. However, on that day with west Berlin guards armed with handguns a few meters away and ak47 carrying east Berlin guards beyond that who looked like they were on a break from school, it felt anything but peaceful. In case the LinkedIn community can help, I would really like to renew my connection with this gentleman, albeit a third of a century ago. Please like with #Berlin1989
