This institution is the US equivalent to the UK National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). In sum, both are funded by buyers of medical products to try to ensure lower prices from sellers. This is an institution formed to enable improved price-negotiation, not improved science, about health care.

9 年I guess we are in violent agreement. While the two organizations have the same purpose (to extract price reductions from manufacturers), ICER's work (reviews & economic models) is rudimentary and of such poor quality that it is highly unlikely to have much impact.
