What were you doing in 1999? It has been a while. Shoot us a memory. Were you in school? Still pretending to look for homework you didn’t do? Anticipating break time to snack on that buttered bread? Were you a young man, filled with dreams to change the world, maybe with presidential ambitions too? Were you not born, trapped in time, waiting to come forth and change the world??

Whatever it was, we hope the dreams you had back then, are valid.?

In 1999, ICEA LION commenced business in Uganda. We had a burning desire to transform lives and the belief to see it through. We felt like the young nation that was still finding its feet, was ripe for top-notch financial services.?

Even when this journey wasn’t a soft landing, we swam through these tribulations, and here we are, celebrating 25 years with you.??

Our growth has been nothing short of an Oscar-worthy story, beginning with a team of 10 employees to over? 150! From having just 2 insurance agents to a strong team of over 2000. Moving from the dusty days of moving paperwork door to door to the fancy automated acquisition, retention and claims payments processes. This efficiency has enabled us to keep our promises and change our clients’ lives for the better in a few taps of a button.?

Thank you so much for growing with us. We are so grateful for every second you have lent us out of trust to change your life. It’s never easy to make 25 years of anything, but with the right support – which you have given us in plenty, we have persevered.?
