Happy Tuesday! Hope your week is off to a good start. As always, here is a quick look at a few things I'm tracking at the intersection of power, deals, trends in emerging tech, and media/entertainment through a pop culture/hip hop lens. This is fuel for your insights and strategy to better reach GenZ and Millennials. Here we go!
1) First, nearly last chance to register for my event this evening at Neuehouse NYC (not the LA location). RSVP here (it's free) Send me your email addy if you would like my multimedia recap from it if you are not going to be in NYC. You don't want to miss insights from execs who I hand-picked from UTA, IBM, Rolling Stone, and more!
2) And luckily for my panel at Neuehouse that I have full recharged from my adventures at SXSW for my Web3 client Filmio. Five non-stops days of creating programming for their Official Filmio Filmmakers Lounge at SXSW which included interviews with P. Frank Williams for his upcoming Hulu/Disney docu "Freaknik" as well as many others discussions with such notables as Adrian Grenier (below) ("Entourage" and "The Devil Wears Prada")
*** Quick Note: if you are someone who wants to learn more about this powerful space of youth culture and how you can use it to better connect with Gen Z and Millennials and/or become part of the cultural narrative, connect with celebrated recording artists/notables in the space, and/or creates brand?strategy,?DM me to discuss further.

Don't forget to check out my weekly podcast. Season 3 of "Beats & Bytes" is back and going strong!!! I mix it up between an interview with an industry figure and an analysis of the latest deals and news to help you make sense of the opportunities.Think of it as an extension of your weekly brief here. ******Episode 10 of Season 3 looks breaks down the emerging tech highlights at SXSW. New episode each Thursday! ****** Click now to get the scoop. Apple or Spotify. Please rate and follow! Poll results, the following week.
3) While we are talking about film, I happened to find this about "Friday." Chris Tucker said here about the studio being the problem. However as I told Ice Cube's partner, the studio is surely using AI to determine that there is no audience for a third installment. Thus, the task is to get your own AI data to counter it and start a discussion. This is a challenge when Cube keeps saying that AI is demonic. So important to look at all sides!

4) More on music! The annual Recording Academy event at SXSW was super nice. Beautiful weather on the "lawn" of the Four Seasons Hotel there. Bunch of chatter about emerging tech and more. Here are a few photos!
5) Finally, I ran across a very interesting article here
"AI does not hold the answers for this level of composition. It's a tool and can be very helpful, but it lacks the capacity for higher-order rap skills, complex storytelling, extraction, and multi-figurative language."
about a startup project that sits at the center of gaming, AI, and hip hop. A lot of what the founders discovered makes for very interesting trend forecasting in this area. What is being thought to be a threat is taking a different turn. See what you think about it!
Gotta run. Much to do before my event tomorrow. Have a great rest of the week and see you next Tuesday!
