ICCRC's Bulletin for November 1, 2017
"The ICCRC Board recently undertook a complete Governance Review to look at the structure, processes, and how we onboard new Directors. With an eye to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Board and decision-making process, the Conference Board of Canada (CBOC) has made several recommendations that we feel would improve the Board’s operation ."
- Chris Daw RCIC, Chair of The Board of Directors at ICCRC
"A number of recommendations were presented with the report in September. Given the scrutiny ICCRC is under from Parliament, the Minister and IRCC, ICCRC has decided to act quickly on some of the recommendations in order to align more closely with government expectations to make serious governance changes"- Rhonda Williams Chair GNC
Question for The Board of Directors at ICCRC
Why don't you let members read the entire Governance Review rather than 'cherry-pick' only the portions that you "feel would improve the Board's operation"?
We paid for that review...all of it (not just the parts that you agree with).
What is the legitimate purpose to reference the contents of a (CBOC) document but, not cite and/or disclose the actual document so people can verify that what you are claiming is true?
The CIMM recommended replacing the ICCRC for various reasons that have not been addressed by the Board in any of their news bulletins or press releases. More of the same but, with a smaller and more controlled Board isn't going to cut it.
"We feel that the changes we are putting forward are timely and will demonstrate that ICCRC “gets it” - that ICCRC is truly committed to protecting the public" Chris Daw, RCIC
Still NOT getting it!
