ICAO 14th Air Navigation Conference Week 2

Summary of the second week of the General Civil Aviation Authority's participation in the 14th ICAO Air Navigation Conference in Montreal, Canada, August 26 to September 6, 2024.

On Friday, September 6, 2024, the 14th ICAO Air Navigation Conference concluded with the participation of more than 800 attendees from 110 member states, under the theme "Enhancing Performance for Sustainability."

The conference aimed to reach global consensus on addressing the environmental challenges facing aviation and the rapid development of aviation operations and technologies.

The agenda for the UAE delegation during the second week included several bilateral meetings with participating countries such as South Africa and Ethiopia. The delegation also celebrated Emirati Women's Day.

The conference committee issued the final report, which included several important recommendations that will be presented at the 42nd ICAO General Assembly.

The delegation praised the outcomes of the conference, emphasizing their importance in addressing changes and challenges in the aviation sector, particularly in air navigation and safety.

The UAE places a high priority on enhancing the efficiency and safety of the aviation sector both locally and globally by presenting working papers and actively participating in international and regional civil aviation conferences.
