iBuyers - REALTORS are you prepared?

In regards to iBuyers, I don’t think the future is as grim as some are predicting. It’s possible they help increase our business, but only if we're prepared.

? Who they are and what they offer

? The major hole in their model

? More RE conversations for us?

? Enemy or Inspiration?

We have been battling the Zestimate for years. We have been competing against the next agent that tells our client they can get “more” for our client’s home. Not much is going to change when iBuyers come to town besides the potential for us to have a lot more real estate conversations.

This is not like clicking a button on Amazon or going into CarMax to sell your car. We are talking about a transaction that involves 100’s of thousands of dollars. Our sphere is going to have questions. Our sphere is going to want a second opinion. We need to make sure we get invited to the table when they want answers or the opinion of their trusted real estate advisor. We need to make sure our sphere knows who we are, what we do and what we know.

At the end of the day, iBuyers coming to market should inspire you to keep doing the things you are already doing, better. iBuyers should inspire you to start cementing in the minds of your sphere, who you are, what you do and what you know.

When iBuyers show up, don’t let the noise distract you.
