IBM SPADE 2022: Delivering on the vision for Multi Domain Command and Control
Later this month, leaders from Australia’s armed forces, intelligence agencies, industry, and academia will convene in Canberra to set a plan in motion for the future of Defence. Together, we’ll collaborate on bringing to life the vision for Multi-Domain Command and Control, or MDC2.
2022 marks the 18th year of the Solutions Products and the Defence Environment, or SPADE—and only the second time it has come to Australia.
?The focus of this year’s event will be squarely on current efforts to develop and implement MDC2, a new way of coordinating command and control operations simultaneously across air, land, sea, space, cyber, and electromagnetic domains, enabled by information and communication technology.
?As Australia’s defence landscape evolves, developing MDC2 capabilities that are unified, interoperable, and secure from HQ to the Edge is essential. SPADE will dive into the what, why, and how of MDC2 to help you understand its role in defending our nation. More than ever, defence organisations must have a clear strategy and understanding of the role technology plays in delivering on the vision of MDC2.
?In addition to MDC2, SPADE will explore other timely topics, including:
●?????How global powers are gaining situational advantages by making decisions better and faster than the enemy
●?????Defence perspectives on data and how to drive strategic advantage from AI to Edge
●?????Connecting infrastructure across domains and at the Edge
