Industry-specific challenges are complex, and it takes multiple perspectives to solve them and modernize infrastructure and processes to drive continual improvement. The manufacturing industry is no exception. Zero downtown and zero defects are the ultimate goal in the age of Industry 4.0. And, with increased regulations and pressure from a variety of internal and external stakeholders to meet sustainability goals, organizations are also focused on gaining operational insights to drive clean energy transition, more efficient resource consumption and more effective waste management, and decarbonization.

This is an example of where IBM and our Strategic Partners are ‘better together,’ combining?strengths in innovation, technology advancements and industry-specific consulting expertise. With a successful track record of collaboration spanning two decades, IBM’s partnership with 微软 is grounded in a shared vision, offering a wide range of options to cater to our clients' needs as they embark on hybrid cloud and AI journeys.

The latest milestone in our collaboration brings IBM’s leading sustainability software, IBM Maximo Application Suite , onto the Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing. Announced this week at Microsoft Inspire, IBM Maximo Application Suite is now certified for the Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing. IBM Maximo Application Suite certification aligns with Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing services and industry-specific requirements, enabling clients to leverage a comprehensive suite of capabilities, seamlessly supporting their core manufacturing processes. Together, we’re empowering clients with robust tools and functionalities to optimize their operations and drive excellence.

For example, using Maximo Application Suite on Microsoft Azure , manufacturers can seamlessly scale their asset management system to support their expanding operations with minimal disruption, while improving performance and responsiveness. This can help reduce infrastructure maintenance expenses, help maintain the integrity and confidentiality of their asset-related information, and improve the cost efficiencies of cloud-based infrastructure.

Maximo is IBM’s integrated cloud-based solution for asset monitoring, management, predictive maintenance and reliability planning. The software solution uses AI, IoT and analytics to optimize asset performance, extend asset lifecycles and reduce operational downtime and costs, enabling organizations to increase resiliency and sustainability. Combined with the Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing, clients now have the power of IBM Maximo optimized for Microsoft Azure environments, and access to Microsoft cloud to support the needs of manufacturers.

By focusing on an open, client-centric approach, we’ve expanded this partnership with Microsoft by providing unique value to mutual clients through the combination of IBM and Microsoft technology portfolios and IBM’s consulting expertise.?

We’ve also put a spotlight on acquisitions with deep Azure expertise, including Neudesic , Nordcloud , and Taos , and continued investments in our people, creating centralized hubs of talent with IBM Consultants to help clients innovate with Microsoft across 170 countries. With more than 40,000 Azure certifications, IBM is one of Microsoft’s top five strategic partners and this is the first year our joint work has been recognized with IBM Consulting being honored as the 2023 U.S. Global Systems Integrator growth champion of the year in Microsoft's Partner of the Year awards. This collaboration builds upon a strong partnership between IBM and Microsoft to serve our clients.

With co-engineered solutions optimized for the manufacturing industry, IBM and Microsoft are also helping clients on their sustainability journeys as they build more intelligent supply chains, IOT-enabled manufacturing processes, connected field services and factories of the future.

With Maximo you have flexibility, and now you can bring your licenses to Microsoft’s Cloud for Manufacturing. For more information on IBM Maximo for Azure, please visit the?Maximo Application Suite page on Azure Marketplace.
