IBM is innovating with OCI at Scale and we are just getting started...

IBM introduced our OCI capabilities in 2017 at Oracle CloudWorld (then Open World) through a unique application that we built for the Winery Industry that IBM Watson powered.

As I reflect on the journey, since then, we have had many firsts in our portfolio including:

• Transforming one of the largest Counties in the US powered by OCI and Oracle Applications
• 500+ OCI platform Transformations with SaaS globally
• The Big one was Red Hat Open Shift on OCI
• Transforming one of the largest Public Healthcare powered by Oracle Cloud and OCI

This year at Oracle CloudWorld, we are excited to share some of our major success stories and new offerings powered by OCI. We have outlined some key learning sessions that take you on the OCI journey with Team IBM & Oracle:

We will also be joined by Public Cloud Thought Leaders including some of our Key Leaders that oversee our Cloud business in the Americas and globally. This includes:

• Aparna Sharma : She leads our Hybrid Cloud Services in the Americas covering all the hyperscalar cloud platforms including OCI, AWS, GCP, and Azure. She also oversees our Hybrid Cloud Managed Services Portfolio for the Americas where IBM is the clear market leader
• Vikas Ganoorkar : He is our Global Cloud Offering & Practice Leader and has journeyed with me in the Oracle ecosystem over the last 11+ years across the various portfolios he managed at IBM. He is leading the charge in building out our OCI strategy globally including our Database modernization of Oracle with Azure, GCP and the VMware Sales plays
• Nish Patel : He is our global OCI Leader. Very excited to have him on board with IBM. Nish and I have together been part of Oracle's advisory panels for OCI in past roles. He brings in a wide depth of OCI expertise having led these transformations at other major consulting firms. He is transforming our global OCI offerings portfolio
• Harpreet Hira : He is IBM's Americas OCI Leader. Harpreet served as IBM's Global CTO for AWS and joined us to take on the new challenge of being part of the fastest growing Public Cloud Platform (OCI).
• Khan Shakeel. PMP : He is our Americas CTO and has depth of experience across Industries in driving OCI platform within SaaS and also standalone migrations + modernizations. Shakeel brings with him the experience of implementing the RapidMove Tools that IBM brings to market in our implementations driving lower cost of implementations and higher value. He is engaged on multiple Oracle Cloud programs including major Oil & Gas Transformation, Insurance Transformation, K-12 School district Transformation, High Tech Transformation...

This team is also collectively defining our Gen AI offerings powered by Oracle Cloud and the OCI Platform, which I will cover in another blog.
