Ibeju-Lekki is a fast-growing area situated along the Lagos-Epe Expressway, which was once a remote part of the Lagos local government. It is an extension of the well-known Lekki Phase 1 and Lekki Scheme 2. The area is experiencing rapid growth with many new developments.
The name Ibeju-Lekki is derived from the name of two autonomous communities which are Ibeju and Lekki
This local government gained widespread attention after it was selected to be the site for the development of multiple large-scale infrastructural projects by the Lagos government and international investors, attracting investments worth billions of dollars. Among the most notable projects are the Dangote refinery, the Lekki Free Trade Zone, the Lekki deep sea port, the recently approved international airport and more.
These great developments have anointed Ibeju-Lekki as the new Lagos.
Ibeju-Lekki boasts natural beaches stretching from Bar Beach on Victoria Island to Eleko Beach. There are numerous other tourist attractions in the area, including the Eko Tourist Centre, Omu Resort, Lakowe Lakes Golf Resort, and more.
Ibeju-Lekki is bordered by Ogun state?to the north, Eti-Osa local government to the west, Epe local government to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. There are a total of 40 communities within Ibeju-Lekki, some of the more prominent ones being Abijo, Awoyaya, Oribanwa, Lakowe, Bogije, Sapati, Igando-Oloja, Arapagi, Akodo, Eluju, and Eleko amongst others.
Perhaps to cater to the population living in this part of Lagos, a number of international-grade schools are located in the area. These include Lekki British School, Green springs Schools, Readington School, Meadow Hall School, and Lagos Business School which is situated along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
To meet the growing attractiveness and demand for accommodation in this area of Lagos, there is a roll call of exquisite residential estates such as Mayfair Gardens, Amen Estate, Beachwood Estate, Emperor Estate, Chois Gardens, Sapphire Gardens, Crown Estate, Peak Park Estates, as well as De-Avocado Smart Homes etc. A typical three (3) bedroom bungalow in this area ranges from N17 million to N40million.
If you are interested in investing in this area but don't have a clear idea of what it entails, now you have a good reason to do so.
Ibeju Lekki is a lovely place to invest because the area has seen a lot of growth in recent years. With its rapid development, it is currently an attractive destination for investors looking for strong returns on their investments.
Invest now that the area is developing and relatively affordable as against when the area is fully developed and the properties skyrocket. However, don’t be a victim of property scams. Tread Carefully
