IB Diploma 2020 - What do we know?
The IBO will consider evidence submitted to them by April 30th to assess the student's 'likely result'. What are the most critical pieces (in order of importance) of evidence?
IAs, TOK and EEs - these are to be assessed externally by the IBO and not by teachers. Find out if work was uploaded yet and if not insist on improving the content and structure.
Historical IB results - this is the most contentious area the IBO judge schools and students on. If predicted and predicted results in the past are closely aligned (and high), then schools will likely get 'favourable results' overall.
Predicted Results - if the school has a 'good record' in the past in predicting student outcomes, you are in the right place. However, if students are in a new school or one that over predicts, then consider and appeal to the IBO directly.
Mock Results - these are likely to be a minor component, due to many schools not completing them yet. They are not externally moderated so difficult to compare.
