Ian Price promoted to Technical Director

Atal UK are delighted to announce that after 7 years with the company, 5 of those as Technical Manager, Ian Price has been promoted to the role of Technical Director with immediate effect. This comes after a period of growth in the company alongside the introduction of new market leading technology.

Ian is dedicated to consistently ensuring that all atal systems are fully compliant with the relevant standards whilst ensuring they’re cost efficient for the client. This devotion to detail has followed through with Ian gaining his CSSW qualification. Ensuring a wider knowledge of the industry as a whole, Ian is in his final year of studying for his Civil Engineering Degree at the University of South Wales.

Much the same as the larger atal story, Ian represents young blood coming into the industry utilising the 30 years of experience from Managing Director David Rees who has mentored him from day one.

Committed to the development and future success of atal uk, Ian’s promotion comes with fresh responsibility. Ian will be overseeing everything related to technical, the aim remains to see constant evolution of the atal product portfolio in order to propel the company forward using materials and techniques at the forefront of waterproofing + ground gas protection technologies.

Ian Commented: 

“I believe that the Atal technical department are a key unique selling point of the company. Through a structured training program, our aim is to develop and train our internal technical staff to become future technical managers, attending design meetings and providing solutions to architects and engineers, surveying structures, solving problems during the construction process and delivering CPD presentations. 

To satisfy insurers and clients alike, I plan to develop a comprehensive “hand holding” plan for third party installations where an Atal technical advisor is stationed at the job site to supervise the waterproofing installation, enabling Atal to issue all-encompassing insurance backed installation guarantees to provide peace of mind to our clients for an affordable price.”

It remains an exciting season of progress in atal HQ, Managing Director David Rees Commented;

He has made many good contacts throughout the industry and is well respected for his in-depth knowledge and understanding of the codes we work to and has recently been recognised as a significant contributor to the most recent Ciria digest alongside the more established players in our field. Ian brings to the industry new blood and represents the younger generation with a new perspective on how the industry moves forward.”
