How do you make a difference?

I feel I make a difference at Modivcare by using my artistic voice to convey the mission and vision of the company. With my expertise, I am able to create content that is informative and emotionally engages our partners and most importantly, our members. I have been instrumental in the branding process, which has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the core values of the company and what is needed to gain and retain the trust of our current and potential customer base. I use this information to design and execute content that truly represents our purpose of helping people live life in their best health.

How did you choose your field of study?

To be honest, I would say my career chose me. I have always been a very creative person. Growing up I found my interests in art classes at the local museums while other kids chose more traditional extracurricular activities such as sports and dance classes. I always remember art playing a special role in my life from the very beginning. It was no question to choose Graphic Design as a study major and International Business as a minor when I was awarded an opportunity to continue my education at the Historically Black College/University, Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree.

Although I was just starting in my field, art played a vital role in how I navigated through my undergraduate years and even afforded me many opportunities that I wouldn’t have imagined. I went on to further my education at the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design, here in Atlanta, Georgia, where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts. This helped to catapult my career and gave me the opportunity to tap into more professional artistic spaces. I’m thankful for both opportunities as they each assisted in molding me into the creative professional I am today and opening my eyes to the places my career can take me.
