#IamBarefootLaw: "THE I-PHONE STORY AND HOW IT ALL STARTED"
Gerald Abila
2024 Social Innovator of the Year at the World Economic Forum/ Schwab Foundation for Social Enterprise
It is hard to imagine that a now obsolete iPhone 3G was at the center of the BarefootLaw formation. When BarefootLaw started, it was really just a one-man show; literally a one-iPhone show.
Just a single iPhone and the dedicated passion of one, and later several dedicated individuals daring to do things radically differently.
Fast forward to today, beyond a weathered, battered, overused and outdated (but still very much loved iPhone 3GS) BarefootLaw is a community. People working together as instruments of transformation.
And so here we are now, fast forward to three years later. Our pilot project, the "BAREFOOTLAW mSME GARAGE" has been selected as a finalist for the Innovating Justice Prize, due to take place in the Hague, Netherlands and your vote will help get there, as well as be able to grow and transform more lives.
