IADD May Monthly Luncheon
Drilling with Casing
Recently Casing Drilling has established itself as a reliable solution that is capable to mitigate risk in a variety of applications. Challenges during construction a wellbore created by large variables in pore pressure encountered on- and offshore, and high levels of horizontal formation stresses that cause “formation creep†can successfully be overcome in many cases by deploying Casing Drilling technology. In addition, this technology has proven to be successful to reduce drilling / casing cost by combining drilling and running casing into one operation.
Operators, drilling contractors, the service industry, and equipment manufacturers have developed and optimized technologies and systems ranging from specialized downhole drilling assemblies to customized rig designs and associated control systems that represent today’s state of the art technology.
In order to provide a comprehensive update on the current technology through a forum to share lessons learned and discuss challenges and identify improvement opportunities, the IADD has scheduled an extended luncheon event on May 23rd at Landry’s in The Woodlands to present Casing Drilling.
Operators, Casing Drilling Providers, and manufacturers will take the stage and share their technology, performances, and experiences. This is another great event to share lessons learned, provide your input into the discussion, and to capitalize on a great learning opportunity for those new to the technology and or the industry. We are looking forward to seeing you on May 23rd.
