iA Service Plan: A Year in Review

As the year draws to a close, we’d like to recap some of our fondest memories and accomplishments from 2023.? This year’s retail environment required navigating continuous change for our clients, with everything from elevated inflation to the rising cost of living impacting our consumers decisions – especially when it came to large ticket items like appliances.??

Did we back down from the challenge? No. Instead, our team at iA Service Plan rolled up their sleeves and got to work.

Training Matters

To ensure our clients were ready for the retail challenges, the first thing we did was to revamp our training content. We pioneered a new “growth training program” for one of our largest clients that successfully boosted bottom sellers’ penetration ratios upwards of 2%. Based on the success of this program, we plan to expand this for all other clients in 2024.

Whether it was a refresher on product positioning or developing new training programs, our focus was on empowering sales leadership with the knowledge needed to motivate and coach their sales associates on the added value of protection plans. Overall, we trained over 500 leaders and associates across Canada.

Client Love

Traditionally, we run financial reward-based contests for our clients. However, after the pandemic, we wanted to emphasize “client experiences” that brought people together to make lasting memories face-to-face. Our clients have been with us since the beginning, and we wanted to say thank you and reward all the hard work the team has put in. In July, we celebrated in Kelowna with Coast Appliances, taking in the beautiful British Columbia weather and wine. In November, we took Canadian Appliance Source to see the Raptors play the Phoenix Suns. Not only did the Raptors take home the win, but we also saw Drake (from afar)! Overall, it was nice to be able to spend some time out of the training rooms and off the sales floor and enjoy some fun.

New Client Alert

In July, after our client appreciation day with Coast Appliances, we hit the ground running and welcomed Andre’s Electronics Experts to the iA Service Plan family.? All 18 of their stores’ staff went through our sales training program and in-store point of sale support was delivered.?

Brand Building

After a successful rebrand of our company in 2022, iA Service Plan launched our LinkedIn page to connect with other industry professionals, share sales tips on how to sell our programs and bring awareness of the value of our programs.?

Recognizing Top Performers

With our new branding in full effect, it was time to hand out some customized acrylic rewards to show our appreciation to top producing performers within our major clients. This was joyfully received and appreciated by those awarded, and will be something we continue to do each year moving forward.

As we close out the year, we want to wish everyone a happy holiday and success in 2024!
