I could fit in here!

Senior Manager - Corporate Communications and DEI at Linde Engineering
Highly intense and high competitive sport, Formula 1 racing amazes me continuously, every single time giving me one hell of an adrenaline rush, much needed in a slow life the universe has thrown at me.
When they say Formula 1 teams are the pinnacle of agility, they are 100% correct! A Lot of what they do in F1 has lessons for all of us out here, and it is very much translatable to my corporate world. The high-pressure environment provides a great challenge, especially with the time constraints. In our everyday lives, we often struggle to take actionable moves, whereas in F1, keeping things small and actionable is considered the way to succeed. In the ever-changing circumstances, even the slightest improvement can make a huge difference. I am convinced that if we apply this mindset at workplaces, it will work wonders and yield results faster.
Two of the many things I remember from F1 are,
In Formula 1, they never give up
When there is no margin for mistakes, the will to win is the driving factor. Every racing weekend is critical for the teams. While exposing themselves to risk and uncertainty, all drivers know they are only as good as their previous race. Moving on can be crushing at times, but that takes the team a long way. I am impressed by the amount of discipline and respect shown by everyone, which aids in building a robust team that can together strategize a win. It is all for one, and one for all in this sport. Keeping a clear vision of the end goal is necessary here.
Make a note that there are no cheat days when it comes to keeping your dream alive, and yes, it takes a lot! Keeping this in mind, get ready for the days ahead.
In Formula 1, everyone adds value
In F1 teamwork is vital. If you are not motivated, you cannot inspire your teammates, all the magic happens when everyone is together and working towards one goal as a team. In today's fast and challenging times it has become important that every individual finds a way to stay self-motivated and bring that energy into the group, whatever they are doing and whichever team they are with. The significance of a well-coordinated and efficiently functioning team behind the driver deserves applause. Team members need to find the balance between individual goals and team goals, and always find a way to connect them. The journey of adding value goes on as the challenges also continue, and teams need to catch up to win.
F1 teaches me to prepare for the dream. The minute one loses focus and discipline, a glitch can show up that can cause one tremendously. One minute you are winning, and in the next, there could be a turn of events within seconds, and you see yourself losing. Therefore, always remember that life will throw challenges at you every day, no path is smooth, and no matter what, you have to find a way to move forward as the show must go on.
As glamorous as it may appear on the outside, speed, fire and endurance form the core of Formula 1.
A weekend without the race is not acceptable.

2 年Motivation of backmarkers is also tremendous. Not into points and still racing hard till end in each race. Not giving up and being focused throughout the season for one race which will give win or big points.
