There is no "I"? in the word Honesty

There is no "I" in the word Honesty

We were taught from an early age that honesty is the best policy. We are taught to be honest in all our dealings, big or small. We were raised to never?lie. We are repeatedly told?that honesty is the most important of all ethics. However, what people often forget to teach us is the importance of being honest with ourselves. Being true to yourself is very important. You can be honest with the world, but unless you're honest with yourself, you're not being fair. Value what you think of yourself more than what others think of you. You can justify to the world why you did, what you did, but unless you are?honest with yourself it can be hard to find peace.?For example, an individual may unfairly treat someone in order to gain something that does not legally belong to him/her in order to be seen well?by others. But deep down, that person may know that what they did was wrong.?If we cannot master the courage to be honest with ourselves, we may continue to exhibit the same behaviors. Honesty is an extremely important trait.

WHAT IS TRUE WILL CONTINUE TO EXIST?

Nothing in the world is immutable. Everything changes. However, for something to last forever, it must be genuine and genuine. You are what your heart is. No matter how many colors you put on it to please the world, you will always be who you are. Your core is your truth. You can pretend to be what everyone expects of you, but if you're honest with yourself, you'll be proud of who you are. You will be the embodiment of your heart without fear of what people think of you. That's because you can end up hiding your truth from the world but not from yourself. Being true to yourself is important if you want to be proud of who you are.

YOU BECOME MORE FEARLESS?

?When you are honest with yourself, you accept your weaknesses and flaws. You probably know what some of them are. You can know what you are capable of and what you are not capable of. With full self-knowledge, people's judgments of you may become less important.?You can become more fearless because when you know your abilities, the world and the opinions of others cannot bring you down. If someone tells you that you can't do something that you know you can do, your morale will likely remain unaffected, allowing you to pursue your goals without fear.

YOU GAIN CLARITY?

?You will be more clear about what you want in life when you are completely honest with yourself. Your true identity is something only you know, and it's usually not up to others to decide?your life goals. People can assign priorities to you, but at least you can be honest about your needs, wants, and?priorities with yourself. With more clarity, you can put in more effort and dedication to get what you want.

RELATIONSHIPS BECOME HEALTHIER?

?Honesty is the basis of any relationship. No relationship can exist without honesty. If you can't be honest with yourself, how can you?be honest with anyone else? If you hide the truth from yourself, how can you hope to share it with anyone else? It is almost impossible to be honest with anyone until you are honest with yourself.?To have a long and?healthy relationship, you have to make sure you're giving your partner "the real you". Relationships thrive when their foundation rests on two people being honest with themselves and with each other.

LIFE BECOMES BEAUTIFUL?

?We strive for a positive public opinion because we have started to believe that we are what people think we are. We try to hide our reality from the world because we think it might disqualify us from the `in-crowd.` When you are honest with yourself, you start owning your reality, and you stop hiding behind the public opinion. The life you were previously trying to hide from everyone starts feeling beautiful.?Being honest with yourself can make life easier, less complicated, and a lot more beautiful. You become less dependent on others and more dependent on yourself. You begin to love yourself with all your flaws, and this is the turning point to contentment and inner peace.?

Some people experience a strong sense of self-denial that makes it difficult for them to pursue or appreciate their true identity. And the solution to all of this is being honest with yourself and nothing else. And there is no "I" in the word honesty, hence please keep "I" away while being honest to yourself.
