I woke up and planned my day in my head, I had high hopes of accomplishing what I wanted to accomplish.

As I sat at my desk and started to write down the 5 things I wanted to complete that day, I received a text. I looked up at my phone and it was from the dog groomer confirming Chloe's 10am appointment. Even though I had the appointment on my calendar, I had forgotten that it was today. I figured I'd check my email since my phone was next to my computer. Before I knew it, 9:45 hit and I dropped my dog at the groomer.

I got back to my home office and sat at my desk and glanced at a blank piece of paper. What was I working on? Oh yes, my list of things to get done today. A reminder popped up on my laptop. and so on... Fast forward to 5pm. Still a blank piece of paper. I got zero of the 5 things done I had wanted to. Does my day sound familiar? Do you feel like you’re racing around every day and not accomplishing what you want? I take full responsibility for what happened to me this day. I am not a victim of my circumstances. I chose to get in my own way. I call this self-sabotage and it is an addiction I've been slowly breaking in recent years.

Feeling overwhelmed and unaccomplished is a common struggle many people face. It's not uncommon to feel like you're constantly racing against time, trying to get everything done, and not making progress on what truly matters to you. The good news is you can take back control.
