I witnessed the death of marriage at the age of 23 |-Harnniann Toh, Lawyer

Some watched their marriage die at the age of 23 whilst our 23-year-old may still be watching Korean drama Crash Landing on You, and comrade Ri Jeong-hyeok crosses the taboo for love.

Harnniann Toh said that he was only 23 years old when he was first practicing as a lawyer. He was a single bachelor back then. He didn't know how the marriage started, but he knew how it ended.

"Marriage (case) is not like a commercial dispute. It is not solely about interest, but about feelings."

This reminds me of another movie "Marriage Story". Even though the marriage of the hero and heroine ended in failure, the entanglement, incomprehension, regret, and reluctance of the two during the divorce process made me extremely worried. I think Harnniann Toh understands it because he is willing to spend more time dealing with the "emotions" of the parties, rather than just providing legal advice on divorce.

"Actually, I only need to tell you about the cold legal procedures, but there are feelings between people. You are hurt inside, I may not be able to help, but I am willing to listen."

If you subdivide it by era, it is normal for couples who got married in the 90s to have weak financials at the beginning. After they got married, they rented a small house together, accumulated wealth gradually, and then lived a life of prosperity together.

But Harnniann Toh questioned whether the marriage was stronger in the past, or is it now?

He said, in fact, men have not changed,it was women who have tremendously changed. "In the past, women were more willing to sacrifice ; but now modern women demand equality, they also ask “What about me?"

I laughed and said, are you not afraid of being attacked by female netizens? But Harnniann Toh said with a smile, this is a fact.

"Some people say that I prefer to speak for men, and some netizens say that I am a feminist, but I just telling the truth."

In this era, affair is one of the reasons for ending a relationship. Harnniann Toh said that whether it is mister or mistress, it is just a symptom. The biggest problem is that there is a problem with the marriage itself. Its always relatable to nothing more than communication, sex and money.

"The biggest problem with marriage is the lack of communication. Many couples sleep in separate rooms, but we don't know it." Seconded by sex and money.

It seems that we "Need" more and more things, but it is not. In fact, we "Want" more and more things, which creates a kind of pressure between husband and wife.
