If I were President

We live in a country where religion stands at a towering height over science and logic and this imbalance is troubling.
Over the years, there has been controversy about the rising influence exerted by either of the duo on society and while some claim that science (logic and reasoning) offers more accurate and predictable standards for everyday life, others say religion (hope and faith) is a better alternative.
The debate, which has been both fierce and subtle from either sides of the divide, continues to leave many questions unanswered but from all that's known, where do under developed countries like Nigeria draw the line with religion?
Nigeria, the most populous black country on earth and the one time giant of Africa has seen its own fair share of the bad times. Bad times that never go away. The one time giant of Africa has gone from a nation well under way to industrialization, to a big gathering of hopefuls and praying economists waiting for a Great One, to schedule in construction of roads, schools, hospitals and to create jobs.
But for a people who dream about arriving at a destination without taking the trip, my question is, is teleportation not science?
If I were President, I know what to leash.
