I Went to School Today

Just another school day, God do I hate gym class but

I get to see Becky, and Jim they are so cool at lunch

Always making me laugh and smile with their so dumb

Antics

It is so nice outside today I wish I could just lay in the

Sun and enjoy the rays of light through my skin, ugh

It is all most time to go to gym

Wait, what is that, why is the fire bell ringing

Again????

Didn’t we do this earlier? God, why so many drills

Hey, why is everyone running in the halls?

What is that sound?

Is that a gun?

The screams are so loud and there is fear

But, we are at school, where we should be safe

I can smell smoke in the air now and I see

So much blood, so much pain yet where is it

Coming from?

I never heard the steps coming towards me

I saw his face and he saw mine I was

Terrified

I went to school today it was supposed to

Be a good day, the one I hoped Jim

Was going to ask me out, instead

I saw him on the ground next to Becky

I didn’t get to go home, all because
