Threads finally arrives in Europe!

  • Real-time analytics: YouTube tests views and likes counters in real time
  • Paused comments: YouTube will let creators pause adding new comments, preventing new comments from being created while preserving the already posted ones
  • Bye bye Google Podcast: YouTube Music will permanently replace Google Podcasts from April 2024
  • New “official artist channel”: YouTube has decided to clean, centralize and take charge of the official artist channels. Until now, so-called "official" channels (like Vevo or other) had nothing really official and were created by labels or agencies, but musical artists very often also had their own channel. The platform takes matters into its own hands and will merge all the channels relating to an artist under a single official channel managed directly by YouTube

1 - A virtual chatbot in messaging called "Meta AI" which can answer questions or suggest Reels based on user searches

2 - Offer response templates in messaging for creator accounts, to help them interact with their audience more quickly and easily

3 - Easy creation and sharing of AI-generated images on Facebook to share them as Reels

4 - Assistance for writing posts by AI

  • Thread launches in Europe: Scheduled for December 14, no official announcement but an "easter egg" available on Instagram confirms this date and a counter on the official website
  • Hashtag without hashtag: Threads adds hashtags but they will not appear as a hashtag, they may be topic or complete sentences, and will not display the "#" symbol (I was talking about the death of hashtags if you follow me for some time now, it seems like it was a pretty good prediction ??)

  • Instagram “Hype”: launch of a new feature name “Hype” which allows you to leave public comments (visible to everyone) on Stories

  • No more cross platform messaging: Meta removes the m?e?s?s? mix of discussions between Facebook and Instagram apps, from mid-December, the processing of messages will be unique to each platform (thanks God ??)
  • Meta launches its AI characters: (in the United States) including Bing Search and a better memory lifespan. The characters are, among others, based on personalities such as Paris Hilton, MrBeast, Kendall Jenner, Tom Brady, Charli D'Amelio, Snoop Dog

  • Newsletter Updates: New newsletter analysis and draft features, new article previews before publication and the ability to switch between different author profiles

  • Arrival of “communities”: Tumblr is testing a new semi-private groups feature called “Communities

BONUS:

The Chinese giant Alibaba just unveiled last week its realistic video text generator "Animate Anybody", a new AI tool that transforms images into videos, excellent news for companies who will be able to use this new tool to create realistic videos at a lower cost. Content creators could see this as direct competition, but if used well this tool could create opportunities and enormous time savings for them in video creation!

I Watched +100 hours of Mr Beast's Advice: ? Here Is Your List For Creating Viral Videos!

You surely know MrBeast: the first American YouTuber and his videos generate millions. Not all of us are fan of his content, but with such success there are surely things to learn, so I spent more than 100 hours analyzing his advice and I summarized it all for you!

Well, just to set the context, Jimmy Donaldson (aka MrBeast) it is:

In short, figures like that, I could continue to make a list, but that's not what you're here for.

Whether we like his content or not, it's clear that the guy has a certain talent for creating videos that attract attention and he has clearly accumulated enormous experience.

So I told myself that it would be worth dedicating part of my time to listening to his advice, analyzing his work, understanding his mindset.

And we're lucky, the guy is not only generous in his videos, he also speaks very openly and shares (a lot) about his experience and his knowledge ????

But it's a lot of work, searching for content, listening, taking notes, synthesizing...

In short, I set myself a limit of 100 hours of work on the subject, and I summarized everything to give you the best of what I found.

It's a mixture of everything interesting that I've noticed from his various interviews and public speaking engagements, both concrete advice and also on his mindset.

And frankly, what I'm giving you today is a real template for making your videos successful.

I strongly advise you to take notes ?

Enough blabla, here are the best that I have gathered for you from MrBeast's different advice:

  1. Your first video will suck no matter what, because even the most successful YouTubers started with mediocre content.
  2. The first 5 seconds (including subtitles in these first 5 seconds) are crucial, then it's the first 30 seconds that must convince, so that your audience continues watching.
  3. Advice for those just starting out: “Your first videos won’t get any views, that’s normal.”
  4. Focus on improving the quality of your videos, rather than obsessing about the number of subscribers or number of views.
  5. Make sure that the title, thumbnail, and opening of your video meet viewers' expectations.
  6. 3 super important key points: Subtitles, the first 10 seconds of your video, and assuring people that they will get what you promised them in the title.
  7. Consistent + Knowledge = Success.
  8. Giving up is not an option.
  9. The 2 crucial data points: Focus on “Click-Through Rate” (CTR) and “Viewer Retention”, these two metrics are crucial for success on YouTube, a good click-through rate shows that your titles and thumbnails are effective, while high viewer retention indicates that your content is engaging, entertaining.
  10. The Hook: Tell people why they should watch your video from the start of your video.
  11. Reinvest in your content: Reinvest some of your earnings into your channel, whether in better equipment or more ambitious content as your channel grows.
  12. Have fun with what you're doing, if you're bored, the viewers will feel it.
  13. Prioritize the audience over the algorithm: Focus on satisfying your viewers rather than trying to game the algorithm.
  14. Be authentic: Develop your own style, don't try to copy others, be yourself.
  15. Learn from your mistakes: View mistakes as learning opportunities to improve your content.
  16. Surround yourself with like-minded people: collaborate with people who share your passion and mindset.
  17. Constantly generate new ideas: Always think of new and original ideas for your content.
  18. It's okay to fail: accept failure as part of the learning process.
  19. Trying to understand how an algorithm works means ultimately trying to understand human psychology, so focus on what your audience likes and wants, rather than trying to please the algorithm.
  20. Tip for the titles of your videos: Always below 50 characters, above it is too long to read and on some devices it does not display in full.
  21. Subtitles, subtitles, subtitles.
  22. In the first 5 seconds of your video (the hook): the first sentences must match / be aligned with your title, and explain what you are going to deliver in your video, example: if the title is "X is a scam" the first sentence should be "X is a scam and I'm going to teach you why."
  23. Ignore the noise: Stay focused on your goals and don't get distracted by social media or negative comments.
  24. Always offers more than people expects.
  25. You don't need money to make an interesting video, money can't create good content.
  26. What does YouTube want? They want people to click on a video to watch it, it's no more complicated, it sounds very stupid, but keep this idea in mind when creating content.
  27. Learn and apply what you learn to improve your videos.
  28. Improve something every time: improve yourself with each new video, it's like in sport, the more you practice, the more you improve.
  29. The sooner you learn how to create good videos that people actually want to watch, the sooner you'll get views.
  30. When you make good content you will explode, it's not a question of algorithm.
  31. As long as you have less than 1000 subscribers, that means your videos suck.
  32. Stop sitting there and thinking, just get to work and start sending videos, don't wait until you're ready.
  33. All you want as a creator is to create the best video possible (with an eye-catching thumbnail ??).
  34. It's much easier to get 5 million views on one video than 50,000 views on 100 videos.

There you have it, you no longer have an excuse to not boost yourself.

And don't forget, what we see today is success, but it's just the hidden side of the iceberg.

MrBeast has been making videos on YouTube for 12 years in total, he started when he was 13.

When he decided to focus on YouTube he was very poor, he edited his videos in his car in the parking lot of his university.

It took him 7 years to be able to buy his first camera.

These tips are video and YouTube oriented, but it is obviously applicable regardless of the format in which you create content, you just have to adapt.

And if after all that you still need a boost, here's MrBeast's very first video, now I think you understand that we all go through this at the start, so go for it!

And don't forget, the key always remains the same: love what you do above all!
