I wasted a lot of time, effort, and energy on Linkedin in 2024, so you won't have to in 2025

Okay, waste may be a strong word. I tested a lot of things for myself and for you. I promise this will be my last article of 2024 and possibly the last ever - because I'm not so sure they work anymore.
LI tools come and go in popularity. Just like this one - Newsletters
Newsletters, like most everything else on Linkedin, was a feature that was added, hyped, and then abandoned. This isn't their fault by the way. A team comes in, introduces something, pushes it hard, then that team leaves or moves on to something else. In short, the idea doesn't grow organically in and of itself.
The same is true of most guidance you see.
No links in posts don't really hurt you. How do I know? I tested it. Should you put a link in every post? Probably not. But statistically it did not hurt.
No posting often doesn't hurt you. And here's why every time you post it only goes to a few people, then like squid games it either lives or dies. Most die, but putting out multiple posts does give you a chance to have one break out.
Polls = Reach
You may hate polls, but you will get more organic reach with them than anything else you do. This may change, but it has been consistent in 2025
