There I was...10K feet....??...Inverted

There I was...10K feet....??? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??

...?Inverted!

... I was pulling so many G's........ I was in the H's!

...My air medals were dangling in my face!

While I was a pilot in the army, this is how we started many post-flight briefings, telling the tall tales?of how we almost died that day!

This is a different kind of?story, though..

But it starts the same...

There I was... scrolling through Facebook..??

Mindlessly flipping through the feed.? ?

I'm not even sure why I opened up Facebook.

I don't often spend much time on Facebook!

But there I was, still scrolling...

When I came across this youtube short....??

It was entitled, "Everything you know about addiction is wrong!"

I thought that was interesting, so I wanted to check it out.

In the video, the speaker?talks about how vital Connection with Close?friends is.??

Close friends are the most powerful way to break addictions, yet many of our programs to "Help" people create shame and isolation which drives the addictive behavior.

There was a crazy quote in the video...

The opposite of Addiction...?is not Sobriety!??

The opposite of Addition... is a Connection? ??

with close friends!???????

I found it fascinating, so I wanted to pass it along.

It is a 20 Min TED talk if you want to check it out as well!

Ted Talk! Everything you think you know about addiction is wrong!

An important lesson I learned for myself and my clients is to remember the?importance of connecting with people BOTH online??? and, more importantly, in person.?????

Make sure you are committed to the people ?????????? most important to you, and make sure they are one of the "Big" Rocks in your schedule???!

If you are like?many of our CEOs and other clients dealing with a lot of stress from the Isolation that comes with leadership.

Coming alongside them regularly can be the difference between being stuck and reaching their goals???.? ?Make time for deep connections in your life with real people!? Find a way!

If you check out the video, I would love to hear your thoughts or takeaways.

Bill! This is so good! Connecting with people in the trenches whether business or the gym has been huge for me. I have also found community in PAID communities. Some people struggle to wrap their heads around paying for it, but it is so worth it! Best investments I have made in myself!

Yes Bill Mason - I think it's been easy to forget the power of 'in person'. Online is great. Easy. You can sit there in your shorts and flip-flops. No one knows. But. In person. There are so many more layers. More depth to the conversations. I did an in-person thing this week. 10 people in the room. 5 conversations. Unlikely to get that online. I'm a convert. Again.
