I want to teach you everything I know about SEO. Here's why.
Did you know that a woman wrote the first computer programme??
Yup, in 1883, by a Brit (of course!) called Ada Lovelace.
If you hadn’t heard of Ada, then I’m sure you’ve heard of the women codebreakers of Bletchley Park or their sister cryptanalysts, the Code Girls over in the States.
These pioneering women had a profound impact on the Second World War, arguably shortening the atrocities by as much as two years due to their incredible work.
But even though most of these women ended their careers after the war as they’d fulfilled their duty to “release a man to fight,” a woman’s place in the tech world wasn’t over.
From the ’60s right through to the 1980s, women made up the majority of the workforce in computing firms, expertly building their software for them.?
But with the rise of personal computers, which were marketed predominately at men, the tech world began to change, and women slipped away from the industry.??
Today women make up only 13% of students studying for computer science degrees, and the percentage of women working in computer science-related professions has declined to just 26%.
And that’s not good!
Fundamentally, 50% of the world’s population is missing from the conversation.
Women aren’t sitting at board tables of tech firms. They’re not influencing the future of these companies, they’re not giving their fresh perspective, and they’re not shaping the design of products or sharing the needs of women as consumers.
Look, I’m not manbashing, but an article in the Economist; showed that in the brotopia that is Silicon Valley, only 5% of leadership positions are occupied by women!
And this is very dangerous, especially while we’re seeing society’s power superstructures shifting so profoundly.
New power structures are replacing the crumbling behemoths of the old capitalist world system.?
Old power, jealousy guarded by a few men, sitting in the sparkling, inaccessible glass towers of Corporate America is being challenged, and new ways of doing business are emerging.
Companies advocating collaboration, creativity, and openness that are giving us the opportunity to shape our own lives and end being passive recipients of other people’s ideas are here to stay.
And women need to claim their rightful places at these new tables to take advantage of this exciting movement.?
But how do we do that if 87% of computer science graduates are young men, and 95% of leaders in organisations leading the new world order are male?
Simple. We teach ourselves. We learn the language. We become literate.

We empower ourselves and each other so we can speak the language of the new economy, and in doing so, we change the balance of power.
There’s a huge opportunity to be grasped, but we mustn’t get left behind because we don’t have the knowledge that underpins our new world.
Knowledge is power, remember. And the boys aren’t keeping it all to themselves this time!
So that’s what I’m here to do. To help you learn the language of our new economy and the new world order, so you don’t get left behind.
I want to help you get on the front foot and demystify the online business world for you, so you’re empowered to grow your business and make all the money you want to live the life you deserve by doing more good in the world.
I’m not prepared to stand by and let men hijack the new economy. Women, especially women running online businesses, have a unique role to play in creating a better world.?
Still, without the confidence and literacy in the language of this new world, it’s hard to get your business to grow so it can deliver the good you want.
I’m here to put an end to the idea that tech is too complicated, or too boring, or takes too long to get to grips with.
And, the most powerful (but in my experience - most maligned!) tech we can harness to our businesses to get them to grow is SEO.
Look at some stats for a minute...
This means that if you can get your head around SEO, which drives all of the above, you’re going to have a massive competitive advantage.??
You’ll get yourself on to page 1 of Google, the search engine almost 93% of the world uses, without paying for ads (which 53% of people don’t click on anyway), and you won’t need to waste all your time on social because your SEOd content will give you 1000% more views than anything you do on FB or Insta or LinkedIn.
So, the long and short of it is...I’m here to teach you everything I know about SEO.?
I’ll share everything I’ve learned to empower you to speak the language of the new world order, so you can go out into the world and do the good you know you’re here to do...and live the life you’ve always wanted in the process!
Ready? Good.
