I want to own the island next year

I want to own the island. I burned the boats to have an absolute commitment to creating real victory.
Have you ever heard the expression “burn the boats”? It comes from 1519 during the Spanish conquest of Mexico, when Hernán Cortés, the Spanish commander, scuttled his ships so that his men would have to conquer or die. He created a point of no return for himself and his men.
The last two years have been such a challenge for me.?My wife left me.?My mom died. Sales are down. I live on my own.?I have no return to my past life, only to push forward and make a new life.
So, I decided to “burn the boats,” First, I want to say I am not saying to burn up all my safety nets; keep the things that make sense—examples of things to keep would-be your savings, relationships, moral compass, etc. I am saying that I decided to remove those things that cause me to fall back on or distract me from reaching my goals in 2022. ?
This got me thinking about what happens when we quit, when we give up, when we have a safety net. When we allow ourselves to fall back into our safety, we truly give up on ourselves. And we rob ourselves of burning away that part of ourselves that holds us back.?Some of my greatest pleasures are gone.?But some of my greatest joys have come from finding ways to overcome obstacles.

We don’t start with calculus; we start with arithmetic.?After we learn the basics, we move on to algebra, geometry, and so on.?We work our way to calculus.?In the same way, I have grown as a man through these tests of life.?
I have a question for me, what if it turns out better than you could have ever imagined.?Yes, things could go wrong or sideways, but they also turn into a beautiful miracle.?What if all the changes I have made lead to something better?
Thank you for all the support.?My friends, associates, coaches, and counselors thank you for your love, generosity, grace, humility, and kindness in 2021.?I hope I can be there for you. My boats are burned, and I must succeed again in 2022.
Kind regards,
