I WANT MORE!

I want more!

I used to think those words were selfish words. We were always taught to be happy with what you have. I was told to quit expecting more. Don't be selfish. Appreciate what you have because some have nothing. Live within your means.(ok...this one should still ring true!)

Look! I totally get all those phrases and sayings when used in the right context. I had grandparents who lived through The Great Depression. I had parents who grew up in the 50's and politeness and etiquette were important, proper and expected.(most things our society are lacking these days) "Things" didn't come about as easily as they do now, so I totally get not wasting, take only what you can eat/use, sharing, don't try to keep up with the Jones's...all that!

Once I started moving past the "mommy" stage and my kids got older and needed me, but for different reasons; I found myself wanting more!! No...I don't want more "things" to fill up closets or shelves or sheds, I want real things. I want REAL connections! I want REAL friends! I want a REAL business! I want REAL happiness! I want REALly good health! I want a REAL retirement! I want REAL success in all of those above!!!

Am I selfish for wanting these things? I used to think so, but NO!

What's wrong with wanting more when the more are the right things?

What's wrong with making some awesome business and personal connections?

What's wrong with wanting my business to thrive and help others do the same along the way?

What's wrong with working on my mental, physical and financial health?

What's wrong with being a better person today than I was yesterday?

What's wrong with wanting my business to retire my husband early so we can enjoy traveling together? NOTHING! NADA!

What's wrong with allowing others to make me feel guilty for missing a function because I chose to do something to grow my business instead?

What's wrong with allowing others to tell you to get a "real job"?

What's wrong with not supporting your friends or other business owners?

What's wrong when others try to make you conform to their normal?

What's wrong with just sitting back and settling for what you have or may not have?

What's wrong with society not wanting others to succeed and trying to knock each other down? EVERYTHING! TODA!

I want more out of life and I am doing the work I feel necessary to accomplish what I define as more! Anyone care to join me? There's room for all!
