5 x Minutes Read for you and your Business

I want to make you angry, like furious.

I want to make you angry, like unable to sit still angry.

Down under we’d call it spewing.

Up North we call it bouncing.

In the valleys it’s tamping.

Fuming.

Raging.

Livid.

What am I talking about?

I’m talking about your work.

Last week I spoke about our mate Colin - the king of the beige and Lord of the pedestrian.

This week I want to talk about comfort.

Because I believe that being comfy cosy is dangerous.

Because I also believe there is no stasis.

There is either moving forward or going backwards.

If you’re in a job or a business and you just feel cosy and satisfied I’m worried for you.

You see when we get too cosy, we get complacent.

“Why rock the boat?”

“We make money, that’s enough”

“This job will always look after me”

“I don’t need to market, I always get referrals”

Anybody remember Covid? That was a LOLfest wasn’t it?

One thing it taught us aside from how to say:

“I’m just going to share my screen”

....was that life changes, quickly.

One of the most security building things you can do is to step out in faith and commit to growth.

Why not consider launching that business?

Why not add a new income stream?

Why not get a new mission?

Why not push for more?

Well because you’re comfy cosy.

So now for the angry part.

How would you feel if you were in pain but you KNEW someone had the cure?

How would you feel if someone had an answer to a problem & did nothing?

How would you feel if there were a way to live better but nobody ever said?

Annoyed?

Angry?

Mad?

Well that IS what is happening.

Because let me get REALLY bloody clear for a second.

If you choose not to make more money, you choose to reject generosity

If you choose to keep your business small, you choose to not help more people.

If you choose to just protect your little back yard, you choose to let people suffer.

If you choose to sit on that idea which could help the world but do nothing - you should be ashamed.

The world needs people to grow beautiful, missional businesses.

The world needs people to choose to grow, make more money, create great jobs and transform communities.

But that’s not you is it?

You’re too comfy.

You’re too cosy.

We are the hands and feet of God.

If the world is not what it could be - it’s on us.

We are all to blame when we do nothing.

Wise up.

Business is mission - people need what you have.

It’s never just business.

Want fulfilment? Build a business you love.

Want to be generous? Build a business that is super profitable

Want to help people? Build a business that makes a difference.

It is not only possible, it’s urgently needed.

When you GROW and CONTRIBUTE you not only change the world, you find FULFILMENT in the service of others.

For the world’s sake, don’t stay small.

Get angry about problems.

Choose to fix them

Choose today.

Or get out of the way while somebody else does.
