I tried this habit 30 days straight and it changed my life

I had a green smoothie every day for 30 days straight.


Look, I love a good salad every now and then. A lunch for salad? Sure! But seriously, can you eat a salad for every single meal? Didn't think so.

So how do I make sure I get my daily dose of vegetables and fruits? The green smoothie. That's how.


When I bought a new blender for the office, a lot of my coworkers would ask me, "You drink that?"

Usually they had a slight look of disgust on their face as they stared at my green smoothie.

I would smile and say "Yup. And it's awesome."

Months later, tons of people were using my blender. Soon, people had to wait to use it during lunch time because there was a queue. Then we bought a second blender so that more people could use it and even then there was a queue! 

It can change your life. I already know this because I saw it change my coworkers.

You will feel healthier.

You will feel sharper.

You will feel empowered.


Here's how I made it happen:

1. Invest in yourself: Save up and buy a high quality blender. This makes a huge difference. I started off my green smoothies with a low end blender that was around $15.

It was terrible.

The fruits and veggies weren't finely blended together and I would get clumps of fiber I'd have to chew. It took the joy out of the smoothies for me.

Then I heard about the Nutribullet. It's my personal favorite because of the following reasons:

*It's the perfect size for 1-2 people.

*It's super easy to use and clean. You literally put the ingredients in, add some water, twist on the cap, put it into the machine and blend it, untwist the cap off, drink it, and then rinse it off. Now I can make breakfast in a matter of seconds.

*It's got an incredibly high powered 900w motor so that smoothies are finely blended.

*It's sold at a reasonable price. If you're on a budget, you can get the small Magic Bullet blender for $39.

*It's easy to take on the go. Just twist off the top with the blades and put on the drinking top and voila, you've got a smoothie for the road.

*It's durable. Mine has lasted over two years and we had 3 people constantly using it.

Don't take a shortcut here, get a quality blender.

2. Embrace prepackaged fruits and vegetables - To save yourself an immense amount of time, buy the prepackaged versions. This way you won't have to spend hours cutting up fruits and vegetables.

Just remember to clean and wash them before hand and aim to buy organic if you can.

3. Freeze your produce - Invest in some ziplock bags and freeze your produce. The last thing you want to do is to have it spoil in your fridge because you couldn't eat it fast enough. Plus, the frozen fruits and veggies help to make your smoothie cold which is a nice touch on a hot summer day!

4. Stay committed - Do it every single morning for 30 days, no excuses. The first 7 days, you might feel a bit off because your body isn't used to the huge amount of nutrients and fiber you're taking. By the time you get to day 15, usually your body will begin to embrace the change. By the time you get to day 30, your body will love it. You'll learn to really enjoy the taste of it. You'll even crave it at times.

A funny thing will also happen: your body will react differently to processed foods and sugars. The other day, I decided to drink a sweet processed drink. I didn't even enjoy it! In fact, I missed my green smoothie.

5. Workout - My daily work day routine is usually a 6 AM wake up call followed by a workout and then a green smoothie.

The workout helps me daily green smoothie routine because when I work out, I want to reward my body with the nutrients it deserves. Also, I wouldn't feel so great if I worked out and decided to eat junk food every day. It would feel counterproductive.

Use workouts to help you stay on course.

6. Different recipes taste delicious - Here are a few that I love (I made up the drink names myself):

*Sunrise - Spinach, Mango, Banana (This is a great smoothie to start off with because it's easy to drink and sweet. You'll barely be able to taste the spinach!)

*Energizer - Kale, Apple, Banana (If you're afraid of bitterness, go easy on the kale)

*Bliss - Blueberries, Banana, Peaches, Mixed Greens

*Caliente - Arugula, Mixed Greens, Kale, Banana, Apple and Mango (Careful, this one is spicy!)


A green smoothie. Every day. For 30 days.

I have been doimg similar for 3 momths, people dont believe me when i say it changed my life. I was curious to see if maybe it was a placebo effect, so i did a search on google and your post came up. I crave it first thing, if i dont have it i feel awful withing a few days. I went on holiday and crikey, i cant go without now. I am mentallu sharper, more patient, less grumpy. I have the whole family imdoctrinated now. My favourite.... 2 apple, 3 celery, cup of kale, cup of spinach and some seeds, flax, pumpkin and others. We are usex to living off junk food, no wonder we have depression and anxiety epidemics. Both of which i have suffered from.
