I think, therefore I PDS

I read a science fiction story a number of years ago where access to communications systems was the first article of the constitution of a particular government (“Access to information shall not be abridged”). The lead character literally couldn’t understand a world where people didn’t have access to the global network. It comes to mind as we think about the final pillar of our framework for the Internet of Trusted Data, Universal Access.

This brings us to the conclusion of the four-part series and the launch of our new book, Trust::Data, A New Framework for Identity and Data Sharing, that I’ve edited together with Thomas Hardjono and Alex Pentland. In it we not only articulate the framework I have been describing over the past few weeks, but also the specific tools and systems that can make it possible, use cases for social good, and a platform for testbedding these technologies and methods that we call “Living Labs”. We’ve been able to bring together an incredible set of collaborators. Michael Fertik, founder and Executive Chairman of Reputation.com said “Read this book to find the blueprint for the future we should all want for our kids.”
