I Switched From Gas Cooking to an Induction Range - These Are My Thoughts After Two Months of Use

The Good
????'?? ???????? ???????????????????? ???????? ??????. Having cooked on electrics years ago while renting, and being the primary cook in our house, there was no way I would voluntarily give up my gas stove. But I read several reviews that mentioned an easy transition from gas and they were right. Especially on the low end it is incredibly precise and able to hold a low simmer unlike any gas stove I've ever had. On the high end it boils very, very fast. And you can turn down a rolling boil and it stop instantly.
????'?? ????????, ???????? ????????????. Because there is no waste heat coming off the sides, the house stays way cooler in the summer, and I can pick up most pots with bare hands since the handles are merely warm. My old gas oven belched heat because it needed to vent due to combustion, but the electric oven, while not unique to induction stoves, is also much cooler in use.
?? ?????? ?????? ???? ???????? ???? ?? ?????????? ??????????. I have an outside-venting over-the-range microwave who primary purpose was to vent combustion fumes, steam, and heat. I always ran it on the highest setting and couldn't hear conversations that were outside the kitchen. With the need to just vent steam, however, I can run the fan on low and participate in conversations in the dining room. First world problem for sure, but its nice.

?????? ?????? ???????? ?????? ????????????????. I've slowly accumulated a set of All-Clad Metalcrafters original stainless over the years so I was induction ready. If you don't have the right magnetically responsive metal pots and pans, that is an additional expense you'll have to pay to switch to induction.
???? ??????????!?! I bought the Consumer Reports "Best Buy" Frigidaire Home Products range online and didn't look closely at the picture: it doesn't have knobs. You set the temp on the glass top which doubles as touch screen, which is finicky and annoying (see picture below). I'm stuck with it now, but you don't have to be. I'd suggest a model with traditional knobs.
?????? ?????? ???????? ???? ???????????????????? ??????????????. We needed about $300 in electrical work to replace the wire and breaker to the range. If you have an electric stove already you may be okay, but you may need an electrician to verify things for you first.
TL;DR: If you're worried about transitioning from gas to induction because of cooking performance, don't be. Get the induction.
