I Stopped Feeling Like an Imposter. You Should Too. Here's Why...

How often have you looked at your career success, personal growth, and achievements and told yourself that you made it this far only because you had help from others?? Some of my amazing clients have come to me grappling with imposter syndrome and downplaying their own successes.

  • They've hesitated to pursue leadership roles despite being highly qualified and talented.
  • They've worked over hours to prove their worth, for some of them to the extent that they burned out.
  • They didn't negotiate their current and past salaries much.

If you recognize yourself in this, ladies, please realize that overcoming these challenges by building your confidence, recognizing your superpowers (strengths & value combined), and seeking support through coaching or mentorship is crucial for you to reach your potential, soar to new career heights, and negotiate a fair and just income to boot. Let's do a reality check right now!

Wasn't it you who jumped through all the hoops, who worked long hours to meet deadlines, and who showed all your tricks to be selected for the job you have? Wasn't it you who, by sharing your passion, talents, and true worth, convinced your team that you're the best person for the job?

It was YOU!

It can be incredibly challenging to own your worth, your superpowers, and your successes. The constant battle with self-doubt can make you feel like an imposter in your own career. But guess what? The beautiful woman looking back at you in the mirror this morning was you, not a clone or imposter. You've earned your place, lady, and it's time to acknowledge it.

Successfully pursuing your next career opportunity will be a 'mission impossible' if you continue to downplay and undervalue your talents, achievements and career journey.?

So let's make a pact right now to move past 'feeling like an imposter' in your life, once and for all. It's time to shatter the glass bubble of self-doubt so that you can survive and THRIVE even more. Imagine continuing your incredible journey around the globe with the most fantastic sense of career fulfilment, the ability to contribute significantly to a better world through your work, and living your happiest life.

It's time to triumph over and silence the imposter that lurks within you once and for all.

How do you do this??

By facing and conquering your greatest enemies: your limiting beliefs.?

These are the thoughts that whisper in your ear, telling you that you're not good enough, that you don't deserve that leadership role, or that you're simply lucky to have gotten this far already. These beliefs stop you from asking boldly for what you want, negotiating a salary you deserve, and applying for a job you don't feel you're 100% qualified for.?

It's time to silence those voices once and for all. It's time for you to believe in YOU!

Michelle Obama's book, 'Becoming,' is a testament to the power of self-belief. She didn't become the incredible woman she is today by downplaying her achievements or doubting her abilities. She owned her journey, flaws, and strengths and used them to inspire millions.

I'm on a mission to inspire and empower women in a different way, and you, too, can leave a mark - your way - everywhere you go.

For you to embrace YOU, I invite you to:

  • Identify your career and life accomplishments, no matter how big or small they may seem. Write them down, re-read them from time to time and remind yourself regularly that YOU did all that, or YOU made all that happen.
  • Surround yourself with a support system of friends, mentors, and colleagues who believe in you and your potential. Ask them what they think are your most significant achievements and why. Doing so could encourage you to believe in YOU and help you tune out that inner critic trying to get your attention!
  • Celebrate your successes! It's time to stop attributing them solely to luck, third parties, or external factors. Challenge that nagging inner voice when you realize it's talking to you. When it tells you that you can't do something, prove it wrong. Push yourself beyond your comfort zone, and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve.?

Who's up for never underestimating her achievements and value anymore, celebrating her successes, and soaring to new career heights instead??
