I Stand with Ukraine, the EU, and NATO

Having lived and worked in Ukraine several times: US Embassy Kyiv: 1999-2000; Donetsk: 2013; Odessa: 2015; Kyiv: 2017; and Kyiv: 2019-2020, I must at least give my moral support to Ukraine against the illegal and brutal Russian invasion.

I find it despicable that the morally bankrupt Trump Administration just paused military aid to Ukraine. I also find it despicable how Trump, Vance, and Rubio treated Ukrainian President Zelensky in a recent White House meeting.

I also find it truly disgusting that Trump is wavering in his support of NATO. This is exactly what the Russian tyrant Putin wants. Russia desires to split up NATO and even have the United States withdraw from that organization.

I am very happy that the EU is stepping up its unwavering support of Ukraine. The war criminal Putin's evil design to destroy Ukraine must be stopped. Russians must stand up and overthrow their dictator and vote for a person who is not so stuck on the past glory days of the past.

Russia can be a great state again but must abandon its desire to be a big power again. It can be a big player by just being a normal player on the global stage. This can be done by stop being confrontational with the West. Change can be done. Afterall, the Soviet Union did collapse and did change. The West should help Russia to change. Most people in Russia desire this. They need to stop being so paranoid and thinking that everybody is out to get them.
