I was so despondent... having given my best .. and then

I was so despondent. I had given my best in a business mentorship program and it was like beating my head against a wall trying to get the tasks done. Metrics, metrics, research ... It was killing me. (I believe in metrics, market research, etc but this was just too much for me).

I was trying to lead and grow my business. I had committed yet everything inside me was screaming "THIS IS EXHAUSTING!"

It was draining work but I pushed on.

I had some success in the program but not what I was wanting... It had been a constant fight and I did not get the return I wanted on my investment. I could not sustainably manage my business like that.

?It worked great for some... but I think many, just like me... just fell by the wayside.

?Was I just not committed enough? What was wrong with me?

?Perhaps you have felt the same. Pushed into tasks and management styles that drain the life out of you.

I realized I was normal.

I was not alone in my struggles to grow a business and lead others.

I was not made to lead with metrics. That is not me.

I can lead with ideas and inspiration.

I can get others to do what drains me. I am normal. I don't need to be this well-balanced leader. Actually, none of us are.

Oh, the relief that there was a way for me.

I had tried so many ways that had not worked.
