The words of German writer and philosopher, Gotthold Ephraim Lessing come to mind,
“If some things don’t make you lose your sense of reason, then you have none to lose.”
For the last few years, several of my friends and social media followers have been literally demanding that I start a blog to pen down my views. But for me, it has always seemed like too much of an effort, and a lot more discipline than I am accustomed to.
But times are changing, and they are changing fast.
It’s turning out to be a pandemic. And I am NOT talking of COVID-19!!!
The ethos of our society has been on a downward curve for a long time, but the slope has never been so steep. Especially when we look at opinion and policy makers, academicians and (presumed) custodians of our society, they seem to have decided for us that an ideal situation is not the norm, and that a compromised middle path is what we should all settle for. They feel that the populist view must be repeated, which in turn will help make them even more popular.
The conspiracy has grown further.
To make their ground stronger, they have termed the criticism of the compromise as ‘negativity’; negativity that we should all stay away from; negativity that will only make ourselves more sick.
They don’t believe in the Phoenix. They laugh at the concept of the Tandav. They douse all our fires to make us one of their ‘own’.
So, I AM ANGRY….
Angry to a level that I seem to have lost the sense of reason.
Angry to a level that I discard the logic that had held me back.
Angry to a level that I am starting this blog.
Because I NEED TO BE HEARD.
So here I am, with an abnormal reaction to an abnormal situation, which seems to me as normal behaviour.
