I see, I hear, I feel you!
Hey there, beautiful people. I've been traveling to different countries a lot in the last two months, but emotionally, it's been a different journey. Let me try to explain.
When I finish a mentoring program, there's so much to process and important lessons to absorb that I often feel like my body carries on, but my mind needs to stay behind, digesting and savoring what I have received. I give you an example.
At the moment, I am at home, preparing my backpack to depart for another program, but deep inside, my heart is "trapped" between two Caminos de Santiago, one Via Francigena, and a handful of incredible people who gave me so much.
Maybe it is because of the speed at which the "world" demands us to move forward and the conflict generated by the rhythm of our human nature. I often have to remind myself and ask - where am I going so fast? Where? Have you ever questioned that?
Usually, when I pop the question, I immediately slow down. It is like turning off a big and noisy engine.
This means there may be a different path—a road where you and your thoughts travel light. In this journey, whatever you do becomes the ultimate expression of your attention and interest, where you decide to see, hear, and feel the world through your eyes and senses. Completely!
Why don't you give it a try and put all of your skills into the next opportunity? Maybe the next opportunity is a walk with yourself. For me, it will be one for sure.
If you think it is the right time, get in contact, prepare your backpack and mind, and keep walking with us??♂? changing the world one person at a time, one step at a time.
What have we been doing?
Podcast
May brought an interview on our podcast with Annabel Streets. A truly beautiful moment is waiting for you outside. Pick up your headphones and walking shoes to listen to our new podcast episode. Annabel is a multi-award-winning writer of fiction and nonfiction, published internationally in 30 languages. She grew up in Wales and Sussex, with stints in Dorset, Bristol and Hereford. Daughter of academic and poet, Peter Abbs, she has a degree in English Literature from the University of East Anglia and a Masters from the University of Kingston. She lives with her family in London and Sussex, and is a Fellow of the Brown Foundation.
In 2022, Annabel’s third non-fiction book was published, under the name Annabel Streets: 52 Ways to Walk , which is an exploration of the lesser-known science behind the simple act of walking. A must-read if you love to walk or if you are not aware of that yet :)
