I Reached Breaking Point

"Kobus, you need to be as consistent as the sun,"
Years ago, feeling utterly stuck and disappointed with my business results, I reached a breaking point. Despite having over two decades of experience in business and marketing and investing thousands in digital marketing courses, the success I yearned for seemed out of reach.
My days were long, often stretching 15-16 hours, yet the breakthrough I needed felt miles away. In a moment of deep frustration, I turned to prayer for answers. "Lord, why are my results so disappointing? What am I missing?" I asked.
The response was a revelation that changed everything for me. "Kobus, you need to be as consistent as the sun," I felt God say.
This simple yet powerful idea hit home immediately. The sun doesn't falter; it rises and sets with unfailing regularity. If it didn't, chaos would ensue. This was the wake-up call I needed. I began to focus on making consistency a key part of my daily routine, and soon enough, things started to look up. There was finally a ray of hope.
However, life's usual hustle and the demands of being a solopreneur caught up with me again. My results began to slide back down, and in my search for answers, the message was clear: "Kobus, your consistency needs discipline." I knew discipline was important, but balancing business with life's other duties was tough. Time always seemed to be the enemy.
This cycle of ups and downs led me to a crucial insight: consistency is vital, but it's not enough on its own. I needed a comprehensive approach. So, I set out to create a system to help me stay on track and embrace other essential principles. This is how the "Income Interface" came to life, built on eight key principles:
Decision: You've got to make up your mind and stick to your choice.
Discipline: Without it, you're likely to stray from your path.

Skills: No way around it; you need the know-how to succeed.
Measure and Report: If you can't see how you're doing, you can't improve.
Mindset: You need to be tough but also able to adapt when necessary.
Mentor: Having someone to guide you and call you out when needed is crucial.
Consistency: It's about making sure you're reliable in your efforts every single day.
Reward: Remember, every action leads to some kind of outcome, good or bad.
With these principles in mind, I have chosen LinkedIn as the main platform for growing my company.
The "LinkedIn Income Interface," rooted in these eight principles, isn't just a system; it's a game-changer. It's a way to see predictable results and truly make an impact with your efforts.
Sharing this story and the revelation that guided me is about lighting the path for others who might be struggling to find their way in the complex world of business growth.

12 个月I love the honesty and vulnerability, with respect to the challenges facing entrepreneurs, especially those "going it alone". It is challenging enough for a team trying to survive, but for the individual, it can be brutal. Regardless of your situation, establishing a diverse network of personal and professional resources, advisors and supporters is essential. They are your "truth tellers" when you need it most. The value of their feedback and support is immeasurable and the opportunity to be "real" with them is an absolute must. The temptation to approach entrepreneurship with bravado, false or otherwise, inevitably leads to deep disappointment and soul crushing defeats. It must be rooted in integrity and truth. I love the idea of implementing a framework (structure) that one uses consistently (process) and the platform(s) (tools) necessary for the highest quality output. This is critical to success. Anxious to learn more, my friend. Excited for your journey as well.
