When I started thinking about doing a podcast, a few people told me that nobody would listen to someone with an accent.
One day, I woke up, put on my big girl underwear, and said: Fuck off! I want to do this!
Not too shabby for this immigrant woman who came to this country without speaking a word of English.
In some ways, it still feels like yesterday I was living with the insecurities of unknown territory and trying to find out what and when my next gig would come. The odds weren't necessarily in my favor. But not once did I give up.?
I’ve learned to trust in my instincts, I‘ve learned from my success and from my failures, but ultimately, I learned not to take anything for granted and that there is always a way to get there.
Why am I telling you all this? Because if I can do it, so can you!
I’ve worked hard to create?logistics and strategies?to create a solid foundation for my (and my clients’) businesses.
I’m ready to share the many lessons?I’ve learned?along the way that could help you reach your next destination sooner. If you are ready for the next stage,?book a consultation?with me, and let’s get you there sooner than later.
Wherever stage in your path you are, don’t forget that I always have free?resources to help you succeed.
Talk soon!

Episode 86#??Write with Personality: The Secret to Copywriting with Dan Nelken
Dan Nelken doesn’t like to think of himself as an expert, but his bestselling book on copywriting, with all the help it has provided writers, says otherwise! Dan got the idea for his book?A Self-Help Guide for Copywriters?when asked to hold a course for other writers. This book is a self-help guide for writers that provides them with tips and templates for writing.
In this podcast, we talk shop about writing and written content. Dan gives some of his tips and tricks on writing. For example, Dan explains that he thinks he’s good at writing because he isn’t, in fact, a good writer but a good communicator! Instead of being caught up in trying to have a perfectly written piece, his focus is on getting across the point to the reader.?
Besides being a bestselling author, Dan Nelken has worked as a copywriter for some of Canada’s top ad agencies as well as a copywriter for several companies. He hopes that through his book, he’ll be able to teach writers new and old what he would have liked to know.
